Fall Bookshelf + “Every Year I Fall For” Freebie

Well this little corner of my craft room came together pretty easily and I spent a whopping $0 on it. I used things I already owned to decorate this fall bookshelf, and I’m really happy with how it turned out!

My favorite part of the bookshelf is this “every year I fall for” quote. I kept seeing this cute autumn quote on pinterest, but I don’t have the room to store a large sign that I only use a couple months a year right now. So I decided to make my own printable sign instead. I really love how it turned out! I printed it on ivory cardstock, and stuck it in this pretty shadow box I’ve had forever.

Now let’s play a game…. who can spot the typo in the quote below…. I just was typing up an instagram caption and autocorrect informed me that I put the apostrophe for “s’mores” in the wrong place in my quote. This is so me lol, I’m that teacher who always has at least one typo on a test. I am who I am, what can I say lol! I have fixed the typo on the freebie download that will be sent to your inbox, but for now – my space is going to have this typo and I’m cool with it!

I’m giving you this fall quote download for free! Subscribe to my newsletter by following THIS link and you’ll get the JPG sent to your inbox immediately! If you are already a subscriber, this JPG will be in your inbox later today!IMG_2318Now that you have access to this freebie, let me give you the scoop on this cozy fall space!

Chippy chalk painted chair + cozy pillow and throw

On instagram stories I have shared that I had painted this chair over the weekend with Rustoleum paint. I decided to seal it using their matte finish instead of using wax like I typically do. Well – for some reason my paint started to crack and chip! The good news is I’m here for the antique look and actually love how it turned out. But I can’t figure out why this happened lol – if you know what may have happened here – leave a comment and let me know!

My cute knit pillow was a gift from Little Birdie Design Studio a while back, and I love it as an accent pillow on chairs! Paired it with this cozy throw from TJ Maxx to round out the cozy fall vibes. IMG_2300

Neutral White Pumpkins

Y’all know I’m a neutral girl, so I knew adding in white pumpkins was a must. I started with adding my medium/large size pumpkins on the bottom shelf.

I also added in my Dollar Tree Chalk Painted pumpkins in this cute wooden crate I found at TJ Maxx. Head to THIS link to learn how to make these affordable farmhouse style pumpkins!.

Fall Quote + Pitcher

I knew I wanted this fall quote to be the focal point on the top shelf and from the beginning had an idea to display it in this shadow box. It took me a while to figure out what should also be on this shelf to balance it out – but after playing around I ended up really liking this Hearth & Hand Pitcher (currently out of stock but find it HERE). Similar pitchers that can be found on amazon:

I put a few stems from Dollar Tree in the pitcher and really love the pop of color. I also am still loving my gifted PS Made for More Candle and thought it looked cute adding it to this little shelf.

I also used books to balance out the shelves. Of course I had to add my Homebody book by the one and only Joanna Gaines! Topped this pretty book with a little faux plant and candle.

I also added in my gifted book stack from Everwood & Co (learn more about how I style with books HERE).

Small Fall Touches

It’s all in the details! I’m missing my husband a lot right now (read THIS instagram post and THIS blog post for the full scoop), so I wanted to add a photo to this space since this is what I look at from my desk. I found one of our engagement photos that we took a few years ago in the fall, and I am obsessed with all the fall vibes. I thought about adding a more recent picture from Hawaii, but I really like how fitting this picture is for fall! P.S. our photographer was Becca with Becca B Photography and she is simply amazing!

I also added in little pumpkins I snagged from the Target Dollar Spot last year. I used them in my friendsgiving tablescape, which I still am obsessed with. Learn more about the tablescape HERE.

That’s it!! I love my cozy fall corner with this styled bookshelf. I hope this blog post brings you attainable inspiration to bring a little fall to your own space.
