I know many of you rely on the gym for fitting in your workouts, and are now trying to figure out a new routine at home. I am actually a huge fan of home workouts, and for the past 5 years most of my exercise has happened at home. I occasionally pop in the gym to use a treadmill during the winter or attend a fun workout class every now and then, but other than that, I love to sweat at home.
Today I’m going to share the exact tools I have been using to exercise at home for free! There are literally thousands of free youtube videos out there, but these are the resources I am currently using and feel confident sharing with you!
Fitness Blender
Fitness Blender (always free): Click HERE
Brandon and I love Fitness Blender. They have hundreds of free videos online for any kind of workout you could possibly want. From HIIT, yoga, strength training, and so much more, Fitness Blender has it all! These are great workouts for a couple, as they aren’t specific to gender.
Yoga with Adrienne
Yoga with Adrienne (always free): Click HERE
I am not a huge yogi, but I do love to do yoga about once a week. Yoga with Adriene is my favorite! She has a variety of free yoga videos on youtube for every level!
My personal fav: the SWEAT APP
1 week free of the Sweat App: Click HERE
You’ve been following me for a while, then you know I am a SWEAT addict and they are now offering full access to their app for FREE for an entire month. I lost about 25 pounds 4 years ago when I did the BBG 12 week program for the first time (my before and after photo is in THIS post). I just finished up the PWR at home 12 week program last week. I love their mix of high intensity, resistance, and yoga workouts. I also love how you can add variety to your weekly workouts by having the ability to complete workouts from other programs. Last year, I ended up purchasing the year round access to this program, so technically this one isn’t free for me.. but it’ll be free for you a week!
Running
Free running guides for beginners: click HERE
A no-brainer, but sometimes running can seem intimidating. I’m not a huge runner, but I enjoy running 1-2 days a week for about 3 miles. If you’re not sure where to start with running, the link above has running guides for beginners.
Hiking
Link for hiking trails in the Roanoke area: click HERE
Once a week, Brandon and I are trying to hike somewhere we haven’t hiked before. We love to choose hikes that are challenging, so when we are finished, we feel like we did a major workout. Currently, there has been a problem in our area of people hiking the major trails in our area in an effort to social distance… but the number of people hiking has created a situation that does not follow social distancing. So we are trying to hike lesser known trails with less traffic. The link above is what we use to find hikes in our area.

I hope these ideas empower you to feel less “stuck” with at home workouts. I think the trick is finding something you enjoy!
